Akuamma – The ground-up seed from the Picralima Natida tree in Africa have been used by natives of west Africa to ward off fever and sooth body aches and pains associated with injury and disease. Modern practitioners have taken up the native folk remedy and have implemented it to combat the effects of malaria and other parthenogenic ailments and is often noted for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Historically, the natives of West Africa have harvested the Akuamma Seed for its anti-inflammatory, calming and soothing properties.  Traditionally the indigenous people of the region would harvest the seeds for it naturally beneficial health properties.

Picralima nitida, better known as Akuamma, is a tree is found in Africa. The dried seeds from this tree are used by the locals throughout West Africa, particularly in Ghana as well as in the Ivory Coast and Nigeria. Akuamma seeds have a rich history across the continent of Africa. The seeds originate from the Akuamma tree (Picralima nitida).
